WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS, PUMP STATIONS & RISING MAINS PROJECTS

• Carried out investigations into sludge operations and recommended options to optimise the sludge drying bed facilities at the Mittagong STP, Wingecarribee Shire Council, NSW.
• Carried out the design of groundwater, drainage, water and sewerage treatment services for the Rohtung Tunnel Project, India.
• Design verification of Civil, Hydraulic, Process, Mechanical and Electrical Conceptual Design and conducted Value Engineering Workshops for the Port Moresby, PNG Sewerage Scheme comprising of a 18.4 ML/day Sewage Treatment Plant, 17 Pump Stations, 35 km’s of Rising mains and Sewers (100 mm. to 600 mm. diameter), 2 km Ocean Outfall and 16 Sludge Drying Beds$120 m.
• Detailed design and project management of Solar Powered Wastewater Aerated Lagoon and Constructed Wetlands 0.2 ML/day for Warrumbui Conference Centre, Murrumbatem NSW. Concept and Detailed Design and preparation of civil, mechanical and electrical specifications for the Wastewater Treatment Plant 0.5 ML/day at the Aurukun mining site, Queensland.
• Part of a team involved with the verification of Drawings for the 66 Ml/day Luggage Point Recycled Wastewater Treatment Plant. Queensland. The treatment process consisted of flow equalization, pre-treatment (coagulation), clarification for phosphate and turbidity removal, micro-filtration, reverse osmosis, advanced oxidation (hydrogen peroxide and UV dosing). $350m, Queensland.
• Design development, decision making, effective construction, operations & maintenance, providing inputs, technical evaluation of process equipment associated with a Sequential Batch Reactor Wastewater Treatment Plant 0.5 ML/day, Rosedale, Victoria
• Redesigned, project management and construction of the Augmentation of the Narrandera Sewage Treatment Plant 3 ML/day NSW.
• Detailed Design, project management and construction of the upgrade of the Griffith 12ML/day and Yenda 1 ML/day Wastewater Treatment Plants, NSW
• Project Management of the installation Magnesium Hydroxide Odour Control Systems in the Sewerage Transport Systems, Griffith NSW.
• Design, Project Management, Environmental Evaluation, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations of the 3 ML/day Anglesea Tertiary Standard BNR Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project consisting of the following six contracts:
  • Civil Works – Treatment
  • Plant, Pump Station and Rising Main.
  • Ocean Outfall
  • Sludge Belt Filter Press
  • Ultra – Violet Disinfection & Wastewater re-use system

• Conducted meetings, and provided information for discussions with Anglesea Wastewater Action Groups, and the Public regarding Ocean Outfall, Victoria.
• Investigations into the Barwon Downs Dairy Wastewater Treatment Anaerobic and Aerobic Lagoon System, Victoria.
• Investigations into the composting of biosolids at the Black Rock Wastewater Treatment Plant.60 ML/day, Victoria.
• Conceptual Design of the recycled wastewater effluent re-use scheme at Winchelsea Sewage Treatment Plant 0.5 ML/day. Works consisted of Lagoons, Rising Mains, and Pump Stations, Victoria.
• Conceptual and Detailed Design of 15 Activated Sludge Wastewater Package and Regional Activated Sludge Treatment Plants. Treatment capacity up to 10 Ml/day. Cost of works estimated $300 m, Victoria.
• Conceptual and Detailed Design of Brushy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant 10 ML/day, Victoria.
• Detailed Design of the upgrade of the Menangle MBR WTP.
• Detailed Design of sludge dewatering facilities for Malabar, Penrith and Cronulla WTP’s, Sydney Water, NSW.
• Detailed Design and selection of plant and equipment for $55m upgrade of the Biological and Chemical Odour Control Facility, Woodman Point WTP, WA.
• Detailed Design and procurement of equipment of a Dissolved Air Flotation Unit, Sydney Water, NSW.
• Conceptual and Detailed Design of Majura package Wastewater Treatment Plant, Canberra.
• Managed the detailed design of seven WTP’s for Australian Water Technologies, Sydney, NSW.
• Designed and procure a vacuum pump priming system and clean water pumping facility for Orchard Hills WTP.
