WATER MAINS & PUMP STATIONS PROJECTS

• Coonamble Shire Council Water Security Scoping Study, including detailed assessment of water supply system comprising bores, water treatment plant, reservoirs and distribution network.
• McPhillamys Gold Mine water supply pipeline feasibility investigations. Project aimed at investigating options for water supply to Regis’ McPhillamys Gold Project (near Blayney NSW). Work included identifying water sources, pipeline routes, hydraulic assessment (using GIS pipe model) conceptual pipeline and pumping station design and costing.
• Centennial Coal produced water management feasibility investigations. Project aimed at investigating options for discharge of produced water at the mines, including Springvale, Angus Place and Clarence (all near Lithgow, NSW). Work included data collection, hydraulic assessment (using GIS pipe model) conceptual pipeline and pumping station design and costing and development of improvement and maintenance measures.
• Centennial Coal Western Operations Water Management Strategy. Project aimed at investigating options for discharge of produced water at the mines, including Springvale, Angus Place and Clarence (all near Lithgow, NSW).
• Detailed design of 3km. of DN 450 Rising Main and Ashmont Pump Station, Wagga Wagga City Council, NSW.
• Detailed design of the 40 km of DN 150 Rising Main and Pump Station, Etheridge Council, Q’ld.
• Design Report on the upgrade of Bundanoon Water Supply Pump Station, Wingecarribee Shire, Council, NSW.
• Options Study, Conceptual Design of the 15 km of DN 450 water main and 2 booster pump stations, Angus Place Coal Mine, Centennial Coal, NSW.
• Options Study, Conceptual Design of the 7 km of the DN450 water main and 2 booster pump stations, Springvale Coal Mine, Centennial Coal, NSW.
• Options Study, Conceptual Design of the 12 km of the DN 450 mm. diameter rising main and 2 booster pump stations, Clarence Coal Mine, Centennial Coal, NSW.
• Conceptual design of 85 km. of DN450 HDPE water main for Regis Gold Mine.
• Verification of the detailed design of the potable water reservoirs, water mains, pump stations and chemical dosing systems, Googong ACT.

WATER TREATMENT PLANTS & RESERVOIRS PROJECTS

• Assessment of performance of Coonamble Council’s water treatment plant, comprising dosing and sedimentation lagoons.
• Conceptual Design of the Upgrade of the Moorabool WTP 30 ML/day, Victoria.
• Detailed Design, Project Management and Construction of the Upgrade of the Griffith water
• Treatment Plant, NSW.
• Project Management & Detailed Design of the 2.5 Ml/day Yenda Water Microfiltration Plant, NSW.
• Preparation of an Operational Management Procedure for the Water Treatment Plants, Narrandera Shire Council, NSW.
• Detailed Design of the Raw Water Inlet Fine Screens for the Richmond WTP, Sydney Water, NSW.
• Operational manager for the operations of Melbourne’s Frogley, Graceburn, Cresswell, Eleva, Cornish Hill, Yarra Glen and chum Creek Water Supply Tanks and Reservoirs.
• Upgrade of Melbourne’s Brittania Creek, O’Shannassy, McMahons Creek Water Treatment Plants. Works included chemical dosing, flocculation, coagulation and chlorination.
• Prospect Water Filtration Plant hydraulic investigation, AWS now SUEZ (owner and operator of Prospect WFP). Project was aimed at investigating the detailed hydraulic behaviour of the inlet structure and contact canals. Work involved managing the construction of the scale physical model, testing a range of operating flow conditions and developing a number of key improvement measures.
